  • Community Central Hall - Community Central Hall was established over 40 years ago as a community trust providing facilities and services to the local community.   • Eco Drama - Eco Drama create inventive theatre and creative learning projects that strive to embed sustainability and ecology at the heart of the experience.   • The Glad Cafe - The Glad Cafe is a not for profit music venue with a licensed cafe in the Shawlands area of southside Glasgow. It has something to offer people of any age or background in this diverse and vibrant local community.
  • The Glad Foundation - The Glad Foundation is a charity based in Shawlands, in the southside of Glasgow. We provide a wide range of free and affordable music workshops for people of all ages and abilities.
  • Impact Arts - Established in 1994, Impact Arts is a forward-thinking community arts organisation which uses the arts and creativity to enable and empower social change.
  • Limelight Music - Limelight Music is the only Scottish Music Organisation funded directly by The Scottish Government Equalities Department and is the largest employer of musicians with impairments in Scotland.
  • Maryhill Burgh Halls - The Maryhill Burgh Halls are a community led organisation, set up by the Maryhill Burgh Halls Trust. The Trust was established in 2004 by a group of local people, after demolition plans for the building had been proposed.
  • Mrs Magooty - Mrs Magooty is a participatory arts organisation. It runs creative projects, craft retreats, a pop-up and an online bead shop.
  • The Pavillion Youth Cafe - Pavillion Youth Café is a charity youth organisation based in Easterhouse, Glasgow. Pavillion provide young people with a safe, welcoming and alcohol and drug-free environment for children and young people in the local area.
  • Glasgow Piano City - The Piano Project facilitates greater access to acoustic pianos in Glasgow and beyond by redistributing piano donations back into the community, creating a network of accessible instruments, while recycling older unplayable ones into new furniture/artwork.
  • Project Ability - Project Ability, established in 1984, is a Glasgow-based visual arts organisation with an international reputation for excellence. We create opportunities for people with disabilities and people with lived experience of mental ill-health, aged 5 years to 80 plus, to express themselves and achieve their artistic potential.
  • See Think Make - Set up by directors Sarah Longfield, Jain McIntyre and Kim Stuyck, the drive is to provide support, information and promotion so that more young people in Scotland can gain a recognised qualification in the arts in as fun, simple and flexible way possible.
  • Theatre Nemo: Promoting Mental Health Through the Arts - Theatre Nemo is an organisation that exists to support people in recovery from poor mental health. We provide creative workshops that have a focus on mental wellbeing, teaching people coping strategies and developing a greater understanding of their own mental health, where to get support and how to support others.

  • WASPS: Workshop & Artists Studio Provision Scotland - A charity that provides affordable studios to support artists, arts organisations, and creative businesses. We currently house about 900 artists and 33 organisations at 19 buildings across Scotland.
  • Whiteinch Centre - Whiteinch Centre is an independent community facility owned by the people of Whiteinch. It provides a hub at the heart of the community making Whiteinch a vibrant place to live, work and play.

Care

  • Baillieston Community Care Limited - A not for profit organisation and registered charity, which has been established since 1992. The organisation specialises in providing a variety of quality care and support services aimed at maintaining individuals independence within their own homes and the community.
  • Food Train: Supporting local older people at home - Food Train is a registered charity, voluntary organisation and social enterprise. Since 1995 Food Train has been making daily life easier for older people, providing vital services to those who are no longer able to manage independently, through age, ill health, frailty or disability.
  • The Wise Group - The Wise Group is a leading social enterprise, which transforms people’s lives across Scotland and North East England. Every day we support our customers into jobs, work to lift people out of fuel poverty, and help people coming out of prison to build a better future. Our work is varied, but underlying everything we do is a passion and commitment for social justice and a fairer society for all.

Catering

  • Lewalicious Cakes - Lewalicious Cakes is a place where young people aged 16 to 30 will learn skills to work in the hospitality industry aswell as being equiped for further training, education or employment.
  • Possobilities: Promoting Independent Living in Glasgow - Over the last 33 years, Possobilities has developed into one of the most respected voluntary organisations in Glasgow. We have a proven track record of offering support and respite to disabled and vulnerable people in our community.
  • Well-Fed (Scotland) CIC - Established in 2017, Well-Fed (Scotland) is a new and innovative organisation with a social conscience. At Well-Fed we aim to work with communities to build stronger communities. At Well-Fed, we have developed a new concept to tackle social issues such as; food poverty, social isolation as well as enhance the economic and social mobility of the community in a way that is community led, achievable and sustainable.

Childcare

  • Blairdardie Out Of School Service - Blairdardie Out of School Service (BOSS) is a charity registered in Scotland SCO24917 and a non-profit making organisation. We first opened in 1996 to provide Out Of School for 4 – 16 year olds. We are primarily based in the assembly hall within Blairdardie Primary School, we also have use of the Gym and on good days (weather prevailing) the Playground. We provide Arts and crafts, Indoor/Outdoor sports, Leisure and homework areas.
  • The Indigo Group - Indigo exists to provide outstanding early learning and childcare solutions, from birth up to the age of 16yrs. Community Development

  • Community Renewal Trust - Community Renewal transforms communities by empowering and engaging individuals to improve their health, well-being and employability. Staff and volunteers engage with local residents at home and in community hubs. It starts with a cup of tea. All staff are specially trained to listen to what people want, then to stick with them, whatever it takes. People know what they need in their lives and in their communities but they often need help to achieve this.

  • Spoon Cafe - Spoon Cafes are social enterprise sit in and taking away cafes offering external catering services, space hire for public and private events. We are proud to be a Social Enterprise.   • Mark Markers: A Pollokshields Trust Project (Facebook) - The MarkMakers project is run by The Pollokshields Trust for the benefit of the surrounding local community.   • Fablevision Studios - Fablevision Studios provides multimedia services to Scotland’s private, public and third sectors. It also works to improve the prospects of those with employability issues (long-term health conditions, disability, lack of workplace experience and long-term unemployment).
  • Post Creative - Post Creative was founded in 2009 by Nova Stevenson and Scott Ogilvie. Hungry to help organisations that we looking to make more than profit, we took our digital and design skills to the 3rd sector. After years of working with some fantastic companies we were inspired to become a CIC ourselves in 2015.
  • Studio Pop - Studio Pop makes green spaces in cities. We design, play and make ecological structures, community gardens and DIY workshops. Studio Po offers an innovative ecological experience by regenerating urban gaps through live clinic, craft-remaking and pop-up design.

  • Culinary Ability - Culinary Ability became part of a European project which created a training programme that is ideally suited for people with disabilities. The Culinary Ability Food Preparation Award is now accredited by SQA, Level 4.
  • FARE: Family Action in Rogerfield and Easterhouse - We work within communities to improve the lives of children and families living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. We bring together people of all ages to build positive relationships and trust.
  • Move On: Unlocking your potential - Move On Scotland work with vulnerable young people and people affected by homelessness to help them unlock their untapped potential. We believe everyone has the potential to secure a job, manage money, sustain a stable home and live a fulfilling and independent life. We help people achieve these goals by providing mentoring, peer education, training, volunteering opportunities, guidance, information and advice.

  • Heart for the City - Heart for The City (HFTC) is a faith-based organisation that offers a holistic response to human development based on need. It achieves this by creating opportunities for personal development and well-being through vocational and professional training.
  • Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living - Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living is run by disabled people for disabled people. We believe that barriers disable people, not impairments.   • StepUp Shoeshine - StepUp Shoeshine CIC offers a professional shoeshine service in businesses and other venues. Through delivering exemplary customer service training and work experience, it aims to use its income to create sustainable jobs for those who have experienced adversity.   • Radiant & Brighter: Community Interest Company - Radiant and Brighter is an award-winning company which was founded by Micheal and Pheona Matovu in 2014. A key ethos of the organisation isto deliver greater societal integration, inclusion and economic participation through education, inspiration and changing perceptions.
  • Grow Your Own Talent: T-UK Skills and Workforce Development - T-UK Skills and Workforce Development provides temporary workers to employers; with the aim of investing to improve their skills and raise their earning potential. By improving the 'local labour pool' and helping to raise productivity for businesses this allows people to progress and have fair and fulfilling work; thus, achieving a sustainable social & economic impact.

  • All Cleaned Up Scotland - All Cleaned Up Scotland is a social enterprise industrial cleaning company servicing contracts throughout Scotland. We are committed to delivering the highest standards of cleaning at competitive prices, while providing opportunities to individuals with barriers to employment to allow them to contribute positively to the communities we work in.
  • Footprint Copy - High-quality printing ranging in scale from a simple single sided business card to an eye-catching large format poster - all right from our very own print shop! Footprint-Copy is part of Community Central Hall, a non-profit organisation who offers a diverse variety of services to the community of Maryhill in Glasgow.
  • Bike for Good - Bike for Good started in July 2010, unfunded in a small stall in Glasgow’s famous Barras market. We now have two thriving community hub shops in Glasgow, an amazing team of 50 + individuals, and we are changing thousands of lives through cycling.

  • Pioneer Mutal Credit Union - Pioneer Mutual Credit Union is a not-for-profit run to benefit its members; providing low cost financial services to those who live or work in a G, PA or ML postcode.
  • Scotcash: Approachable Finance - Scotcash was founded in January 2007 with help from Glasgow City Council and GHA. Its main aim is to provide financial products and services to those who have difficulty accessing mainstream sources such as banks and building societies. Scotcash provides its core services across Scotland using online technologies and partnerships with local organisations.
  • The NHS Credit Union - The NHS Credit Union offers affordable loans and secure savings for thousands of health service employees and their families. Unlike High Street banks, the Credit Union is owned by its members and run solely for their benefit. Any employee of the NHS in Scotland or the north of England can join.

Food Production

  • Bridging the Gap - A Gorbals-based charity established in 1998
  • Shettleston Community Growing Project - Shettleston Community Growing Project (SCGP) was set up in 2009 by local people who wished to grow food for themselves and their families.

Gifts & Crafts

  • Jangling Space - Jangling Space is all about being collaborative, so it seeks to involve people as both thinkers and doers in all of its work. It makes beautiful objects in order to build community.
  • Galgael - GalGael Enterprises was established by GalGael Trust so that the organisation could become self-sustaining as it makes its way in the world.

Health

  • Common Wheel - Common Wheel supports people with mental illness by providing meaningful activities. We have three projects. Our bike project supports people in repairing and recycling old bikes into 'good as new' bikes for our clients to ride away and keep. Our music project supports people in singing, playing and composing music. Our visual arts project 'Carnival Club' supports people in designing and producing large scale art pieces to be displayed in various parades in Glasgow.
  • The Good Morning Service - We provide telephone befriending and alert calls to older people. Every morning, 365 days a year, Telephone Befrienders call out to members at a pre-arranged time to check that all is well and for a good blether.
  • Govalhill Baths - Govanhill Baths is a community hub based in the heart of Govanhill providing free health and wellbeing workshops and classes for the local community. Our aim is to reopen the Baths as a Wellbeing Centre incorporating three pools, a health suite and other sports and health initiatives. Govanhill Baths building is now closed to the public for refurbishment but our services continue in temporary venues in Govanhill.
  • Lifelink - Lifelink designs and delivers services to improve the mental and emotional health and well-being of adults and young people in Scotland.
  • Lingo Flamingo - Lingo Flamingo provides tailored and accessible foreign language classes to older adults in care homes, day centres and community groups.
  • ReMake Up - ReMake UP uses the profits from beauty-focused permanent make-up to provide those with the psychological and physical effects of medical conditions such as cancer, alopecia (or treatments associated with them), with free medical tattooing procedures for eyebrow loss, areola and nipple reconstruction, scars or burns.
  • Southwest Community Cycles - From our Cycle Resource Centre we promote cycling and the provision of cycling services through: cycle rental; bike maintenance and repair; secure park and ride facilities; cycle tuition; commuter confidence building; play on pedals; led rides; and a mobile Dr. Bikes service, at a convenient location for those who do not currently have access to such equipment and services.

Housing

  • Homes For Good - Homes for Good (Scotland) CIC is an award-winning letting agency and the first in Scotland to be run as a social enterprise. It provides happy homes for tenants and safe investments for their landlords. Glasgow-based, it manages properties across 9 local authority areas in Scotland. The letting agency offers a full property management service for landlords, along with investment advice and guidance through the changing legal environment.

Interpreting & Translation

Information Technology

  • Networks 4 Learning - Networks4Learning is a social enterprise with operations in Glasgow, Scotland and Nairobi, Kenya covering the East African region. We are passionate about promoting the Raspberry Pi and other potentially trans-formative devices for computer science and networking education for young people. Our focus is on our beneficiaries in Glasgow who are underprivileged individuals within our community as well as students in schools and colleges in East Africa.

It works to increase employability and independence prospects through the promotion of equality and diversity. Leisure Services

  • The Experience - The Experience is an award-winning, five-star themed entertainment and events venue just minutes from Braehead. Owned by the Kibble Group, one of Scotland’s oldest child and youth care charities, The Experience houses Scotland’s only indoor electric go-karting track plus laser tag, the Refuel Café, and a conference centre.
  • ApparelXchange - ApparelXchange CIC is an emerging company, focusing on school uniform re-use, repair, retail and redistribution. Working directly with schools and parents/guardians to support the collection, sorting, cleaning and repair of donated school uniforms. Uniforms are provided at low cost and re-distributed to young people, via school shops, and a soon to be launched on-line retail site.

  • Haven Recycle - Haven Recycle is a supported business based in Glasgow which operates an accredited Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling facility. We offer a variety of IT disposal and data management services to public and private and third sector organisations of all sizes across Scotland.

  • Make Do & Grow - We are a not-for-profit social enterprise in Glasgow, focused on supporting growing families with children aged 3-12, developing creativity and encouraging re-use and recycle. We encourage creative development through our structured classes and free play sessions, using predominantly recyclable materials.
  • Merry-Go-Round Glasgow - Merry-go-round Glasgow is filled with everything baby at low prices, pre-loved and perfect. It is dedicated to supporting local families with high quality, great value baby goods and also runs a full programme of activities and social events to bring the community together.   • Caring Operations Joint Action Council (COJAC) - Caring Operations Joint Action Council (COJAC) provides out-of-school and holiday care for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs up to the age of 18 years.
  • Fairdeal: My Support, My Choice - Fair Deal was founded in Castlemilk in 1989 by a group of forward thinking parents of people with learning disabilities, who were campaigning about the conditions in Lennox Castle Hospital in the outskirts of Glasgow in 1985. It now offers a range of activities and support options for people with learning disabilities, people with a disability and older people in Glasgow and making a difference to their lives.
  • Flourish House: A Solid Foundation for Mental Health Recovery - Flourish House provides services and opportunities designed to promote recovery for people living with mental illness, primarily through the provision of meaningful activities, access to work and learning. Referrals are accepted from people in contact with secondary mental health services.

  • Milk Cafe Glasgow - MILK is a social enterprise set up to empower and support refugee and migrant women living in Glasgow. We run a small cafe in the Southside of the city where we aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment that promotes integration within the community.
  • Thriving Survivors - Thriving Survivors is a recovery and training centre for victims and survivors of trauma. It supports both men and women as well as families through education and therapy. It is the aim of organisation to provide support to survivors of physical or emotional trauma, to help them feel empowered and in control of their own emotions, behaviours and recovery.

  • Pinkston Watersports - Pinkston Watersports, operated by the registered charity Glasgow Watersports, is located on the Forth-Clyde Canal, a mile from Glasgow city centre and just two minutes from the M8 (JCT. 16).
