  • Sophie Robin - Sophie grew up in the South West of England, she did her BA in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art and is now a freelance illustrator living in Glasgow. In her free time she enjoys knitting, visiting museums and going on walks with her whippet Rudy.
  • Libby Walker - After graduating in 2009 from the Edinburgh College of Art, Libby went on to work as a freelance illustrator while also creating her own products and wares.   • Luis MaGill - Luis MaGill an over 60s Scottish artist, residing in Glasgow's south-side. Luis experienced the most violent and notorious City living at the centre of which was a school of the same infamous repute, topping the chart in Europe at that time.
  • Ellie Harrison - Ellie Harrison is an artist & activist based in Glasgow (UK). On 8 January 2017, she presented The Glasgow Effect: A talk by Ellie Harrison at Glasgow Film Theatre.
  • Ian Mullholland - Ian was born in the Gorbals in 1941 and still lives in Glasgow today. He is a former student of the Alan Glens School where he attained a higher art degree. Ian is still an active member of several art clubs and displays his works in the Peoples Palace, Pollokhouse, Scotland Street School and other Glasgow Venues. His paintings mainly portray the old streets of Glasgow - with trams and tenamanets blocks.

  • Tom McKendrick - Tom McKendrick was born in 1948 in the small Scottish industrial Clydeside town of Clydebank. Growing up in this vibrantly historical town has had a marked influence in his work. Like most of his peers he entered shipbuilding aged 15 and served an apprenticeship as a 'Loftsman' in the famous John Browns Shipyard. The greater part of his apprenticeship was served on the Cunard liner QE2. In 1970 he moved on to Glasgow School of Art.

Memorial

  • Hannah Frank - Hannah Frank, born in Glasgow in 1908, studied at Glasgow University and the Glasgow School of Art. She produced her trademark black and white drawings from the age of 17 in 1925, and between 1927 to 1932 the GUM, the Glasgow University Magazine, rarely came out without a drawing by 'Al Aaraaf', her chosen pen name.
  • John Cunningham - John Cunningham was born in Lanarkshire, the eldest of a family of seven. He attended the Glasgow School of Art and subsequently held various teaching posts. He was appointed to the Glasgow School of Art in 1967 and became a Senior Lecturer before his retirement in 1985, when he made the decision to devote himself to painting full time.
  • George Wyllie - George Wyllie burst onto the contemporary art scene during the 1980s. He was in his sixties and unfettered by formal art training. Disadvantaged by a happy childhood, disciplined by life on the ocean wave and spoiled by a happy marriage, he ruffled feathers through his playfully serious art.

  • After The Pandemic - After The Pandemic is an accelerator for change, incubating and enabling creative projects that impact our society, cities and the environment for the better.
  • Wee Folk Dancing - This project called ”Wee Folk Dancing”, is a concept to create a series of sandblasted sandstone inlays surrounding the former church, St. Andrews in the Square. This was intended to be the first of a series of works using this theme to be developed within Glasgow. However, since beginning working on this project, I have completed a stone mosaic forming the entrance walkway for Oran Mor, in Glasgow’s West End.
  • Glasgow Family Album - Cranhill Arts Project are organising scanning sessions at venues across Glasgow. You can come along with your family photos and have them scanned there and then and added to this site.
  • Linked via Light - Westburn Viaduct - Bridge lighting project - Tollcross Housing Association, Glasgow City Council and other stakeholders from Glasgow and South Lanarkshire have been working with Collective Architecture to develop lighting proposals for Westburn Viaduct. The project, known as ‘Linked Via Light’, aims to work with young people to develop lighting designs to illuminate the bridge.

  • Give To The People - Given To The People is a study of the Pollok Free State. The Free State was initiated by the actions of local resident, Colin Macleod, who began a tree top protest against the building of the M77 motorway through public woodlands in Pollok, Glasgow, in the early 1990s.

  • The Rag and Bone Workshop - Martin Campbell is a Glasgow-based designer maker. He grew up on the Hebridean island of Beinn nam Fadhla (Benbecula) among a community for which pragmatism, resourcefulness and co-operation was everyday. These early experiences have strongly shaped his interests in creativity and making, and in 2011 he established ‘The Rag and Bone Workshop’.

  • Conzo Throb - Based in Glasgow, Conzo has been steadily creating works for the past decade which span multiple creative disciplines. With an armoury of skills rooted in illustrative graffiti, his work and style is usually character based and features unique image-play on both the ugly and the cute. Having travelled the world with showing his work, Conzo’s satirical paintings, based on humorous nuances of Scottish life keep him solidly tied to his roots and make him one of the UK’s finest artists in his field.
