Uniquely styled pub with six bars on three levels, opened in May 1999. The walls, ceilings and furnishings are styled with a natural wooden look. Some furnishings look like they originated in a church and the ceiling is carved to look like the bar is situated 'underneath a tree'.

Their basement bar was recently rennovated (Feburary 2006) and is furnished with large leather sofas and long coffee tables. Upstairs, as well as two bars, the four corners serve as seperate areas, one with a fireplace and more formal seating for dining, the others overlooking West George Street or the central bar area on the ground floor.

There are two entrances to Waxy O'Connor's. An entrance on West George Street, next door to the Carlton George Hotel and an entrance on Dundas Street leading from Queen Street Station.

General Manager: Shaun Donnellan, run by Glendola Leisure.

Built on the site previously occupied by the nightclub, Peggy Sue's.
