Prior to becoming a cinema this was the site of The Norwood Ballroom at 101 St. George's Road.

Previously The Norwood Ballroom at 101 St. George's Road it was converted by Albert Ernest Pickard and opened as The Norwood Cinema in June 1936 and sold, (becoming The George) in 1945. This venue ran as a cinema until 1981 (see ABC Charing Cross, The George, Dreamland).

The cinema had 1 screen and seated 1200.
