This 68 seat restaurant and lounge bar has changed management many times but finally closed in January 2002. However, it reopened in May under new management, owner Ian Fleming and executive chef Willie Deans.
Also known as The Shandon Buttery or The Buttery & Belfry.
Open Tuesday to Friday, noon - 10pm. Saturday, 6pm - 10pm.
Also features The Buttery Below, a private suite available for group bookings of up to 25-30 people.
The building dates from 1856 with the resturant opening circa 1869. This is Glasgow's oldest restaurant, possesing a unique interior of oak panelling, stained glass and an impressive mahogany and marble bar.
