Built circa 1840, the Buchanan Hotel is one of Glasgows oldest established hotels. Originally it was known as the Waverley Temperance Hotel as it was the hotel for Waverley Station which was Glasgow's only rail station at the time (now known as Queen Street Station). The hotel in the 1960s was called the Ivan-hoe.
