George Hutcheson
From Glasgow
Born between 1550 and 1560, died 1639.
Founded Hutchesons Hospital and the street it was located on is named in his honour, Hutcheson Street.
Son of Thomas Hutcheson of Lambhill.
Occupation: lawyer and money lender, worked with his brother Thomas.
His offices and house where on the north side of Trongate Street.
In 1611 he built a house in Partick on the banks of the Kelvin.
