One of Glasgow's real ale pubs. Usually has about ten rolling ales on draught as well as a selection of foreign bottled beers. Owner: Paul McDonagh. Serves food daily until 7.45pm.

Very close to the Glasgow Hilton (5 minutes) - and much more reasonably priced than the Hotel Bar with much more interesting beer and food.

Visit the official website at http://www.thebonaccord.com (and a previous version at http://www.thebonaccord.freeserve.co.uk).

Food served from noon until 7.45pm daily, see Bon Accord Menus.

[edit] History

The owner, in 1973, Peter Gallagher introduced cask Belhaven and Maclays beers into the Bon Accord making it one of the first pubs to again sell real ale in the city. Within a few years it was under the ownership of Messers, Randev & Chopra and managed by Howard Ross. Between roughly 1992 and 2002, it was owned and run by Scottish Brewers.
